Nutraceutical
The term nutraceutical has only been in use since the 1990s. It was originally defined by Dr. Stephen DeFelice as any substance that is a food or a part of a food and provides medical or health benefits. Since then, the meaning has been modified, and the word now refers to a product isolated or extracted from foodstuff rather than the food itself. Though the word is relatively new, the concept is as old as vitamin pills and tonics derived from plants.
Suracell's Personalized Program of Nutraceuticals
The Suracell system of personalized nutraceuticals makes use of both the most modern technology and the most ancient lore. Our proprietary nutraceutical formulas contain an extract from Uncaria tomentosa, a botanical found in the rainforests of Peru. This botanical, also known as cat's claw, has been used by Peruvian and other native peoples for more than 2000 years. It contains compounds known as carboxyl alkyl esters, which have been shown to have cell-repairing properties, as well as acting as an immunostimulant, an anti-inflammatory and an anticancerous agent.
Using the results of a client's DNA testing, biomarker testing and a lifestyle and environmental questionnaire, Suracell provides a personalized protocol of nutraceuticals designed to address the client's particular needs. Heart and vascular health, bone and joint health, blood sugar and body fat control, detoxification and free radical control, and optimal cell function are the areas addressed by Suracell's nutraceutical products. Clients are also provided with a formula for continuing core nutrition. This product contain more than 70 vitamins, minerals, and enzymes, in addition to CAEs (carboxyl alkyl esters). There is a morning supplement to provide energy, and an evening supplement to support repair and replenishment.
