What is DNA? DNA, or deoxyribonucleic acid, is the chemical inside the nucleus of all cells that carries the genetic instructions for making living organisms. How does aging occur? The Suracell program provides a personalized protocol of specially formulated nutraceuticals that interact with your body's own DNA repair processes, and provide targeted, high-density genetic nourishment, based on the results of a personal DNA, biomarker, lifestyle and environmental analysis. Will my personalized Suracell regimen always remain the same? Your Suracell regimen will change over time as a result of several factors. If you change your answers to the Suracell online questionnaire, which covers lifestyle, environment and family history, the products in your existing Suracell regimen may change, as the regimen will be automatically adjusted to synchronize with your new answers. In addition, each time you take, or repeat, the Suracell Biomarker Assessment test, the new test results are used to make adjustments, where necessary, to your personalized Suracell regimen. Furthermore, as Suracell receives and reviews new scientific analysis regarding the gene SNPs used in the DNA test, this updated research may cause the Suracell science team to make adjustments to the way the Suracell regimen is calculated. Finally, as new Suracell nutraceutical formulations are introduced, and updates are made to the existing formulations, it is possible that the combination of products included in your personalized Suracell regimen will change. What is a genetic test? A genetic test is an examination of DNA in cells, typically taken from blood, saliva or tissue, to identify the presence or absence of any misspellings that can indicate a disease, a risk for disease, or how efficient your body is at metabolizing certain compounds, such as medicines or nutrients. Biochemical tests that identify the presence or absence of certain proteins can also reveal misspellings in genes. What is a SNPs test and how is it different from a genetic test? A SNP is a single nucleotide polymorphism a single letter change in the ACGT code of DNA that marks micro changes between individuals. A SNPs test detects those differences and the results can be analyzed to determine their effect on various biological processes. What is in the Suracell supplements? Suracell nutraceuticals are high-density, all-natural, food-based dietary supplements. THEY ARE NOT MEDICATIONS. At what time of the day should I take my Core Nutrition? The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regulate all laboratory testing (except research) performed on humans in the U.S. through the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA). The Division of Laboratory Services, within the Survey and Certification Group, under the Center for Medicaid and State Operations (CMSO) has the responsibility for implementing the CLIA Program. There was a problem with collecting my sample, can I get another test kit? Any test kit which is unusable will be replaced free of charge by the facility where you obtained it. What happens if the test kit is incomplete? The contents of the test kit are listed on the content sheet enclosed with the kit. If the contents are found to be incomplete, it will be replaced free of charge. How do I begin my Suracell protocol after receiving my suggested regimen? Your Suracell regimen of nutraceutical products will be recommended to you from the results of your Suracell Analysis. Do I have to take all of the recommended products? Which Suracell products you choose to take is entirely up to you. How long do I need to be taking these products before I feel any changes? Many clinical laboratories require patients to provide consents for laboratory tests and other procedures to make sure that people fully understand possible risks and benefits so that the decision they make will be a fully informed one. Although Suracell tests are not genetic diagnostic tests, or even tests for inherited disease susceptibility, many states require a "signed" informed consent for genetic tests because learning one's genetic makeup is a personal decision which must always be made voluntarily and on the basis of full understanding of both the limits of genetic test results (what results can and cannot tell you) as well as risks and benefits that may come from undergoing a test. What if I change my mind and decide I don't want to do the test after my specimens are collected? You may absolutely change you mind and not be tested. In this case you need to follow the opt-out procedures detailed in the online consent form. Any payments will be refunded in full. If you change your mind after the tests are run, Suracell will simply destroy your results and personalized report. Your specimens are automatically destroyed after they are tested. After receiving access to your test results, a simple way to do this is to print all the pages of your Suracell test results report from the Suracell website, then take the printed pages to the physician of your choice. Then, contact Suracell and request that all access to your Suracell test results report be disabled, or, if your prefer, request that Suracell destroys your test results file and report completely.
